Provide analytical and underwriting support to lending staff; include examining the financial statements, tax returns, and other credit-related information of individuals and businesses to assess the risk involved in the Bank’s lending activities.


Primary Duties:
o Evaluate and spread financial statements, tax returns and other credit-related information of individuals and businesses to complete Sageworks reports within given deadlines
o Assist Lending Officers in preparing Relationship Review Memos, Watchlist Reports, and Loan Renewal packages
o Review loan documents and prepare loan financial covenant memos to evaluate whether a borrower complies with its financial covenants
o Review Construction, Land Development and Land loans for HVCRE compliance
o Assist department manager and sr credit analysts in preparing credit monitoring reports
o Write DLC minutes
o Assist bank management in any assigned special projects

o Accounting Skills – Being knowledgeable of GAAP and cash basis accounting. Being familiar with basic accounting analysis, including ratio analysis, statistics and financial statement analysis. Understand the basic structure of different types of financial statements and tax returns
o Computer Skills – Effectively use Microsoft Office software, including butnot limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Able to spread financial statements, tax returns and run financial reports through Sageworks website effectively

o Detail orientation – This is the ability to pay attention to details and spot any missing or incorrect information on financial statements and any other credit related reports/documents
o Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Being willing to question the established belief or information if it is not logical
o Multitasking and Time Management – Manage one’s own time and set priorities of various assignments to meet the given deadlines
o Writing – Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience, and able to write credit memos and any other credit related reports in a clear, concise way
o Oral Communication – Talking to others to convey information effectively
o Team Work – Being able to work well and effectively dealing with others in a team environment. Willing to help other team members when needed
o Other duties as assigned


o Bachelor’s degree in business related fields, preferably in accounting and finance.
o Minimum of 9 credit hours of accounting classes, preferably 12 hours
