Position is SBA Loan Closer that is responsible for the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of loan closing packages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Break down SBA application packages into credit and collateral files.
• Prepare closing checklist and order any necessary searches.
• Work closely with borrower to answer questions to ensure understanding of loan process, with attention to customer service and closing details.
• Work with title companies, attorneys, landlords, SBA, appraisers and other third parties to obtain necessary due diligence for closing.
• Act as closing agent for loan, reviewing all documentation for accuracy before closing and after for the completion of file.
• Work with Loan Ops to get loan booked to system.
• Scan and file executed closing documents in appropriate files.
• Prepare post-closing file for officer review and scanning.
• Follow up on any post-closing exceptions.
• Process all funding disbursements on closed loans.
• Maintain updated/complete file documentation for timely audits.
• Follow up weekly with a closing checklist to borrowers that are in the closing process.
• Maintain the closer production schedule for weekly pipeline meetings with management.

• Proficient computer skills – i.e., MS Word, Excel, Database and Bank Programs.

• Knowledge of SBA 7a loan program, requirements and loan documents as well as SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
